What Is Personalized Secretome?

Cells communicate by releasing biological substances into their surroundings. Collectively, these secretions are called a secretome. They can include growth factors, cytokines and extracellular vesicles such as exosomes.

Acorn creates YOU™ Secretome by cultivating a portion of your collected hair-follicle cells and gathering the substances they release. The resulting topical product is cell-free, meaning it contains cell-derived substances rather than living stem cells.

Its defining characteristic is its source: you. Acorn positions this personalized product for scalp care intended to support fuller, thicker-looking hair. Research into its use alongside aesthetic procedures is ongoing, and individual outcomes remain variable.

From Hair Follicle Collection to Your Scalp Treatment

The process begins with the collection of approximately 50 hair follicles at Nude Medical Aesthetics.

Collection is needle-free and does not require an incision or stitches. You can generally return to your usual activities afterward, although plucking may cause brief discomfort or scalp tenderness.

Your sample then goes to Acorn for viability assessment and processing. Cells are cryogenically preserved at −196°C, while a portion is cultivated to produce your personalized Secretome.

Your product is generally ready approximately 60 days after collection. This preparation period allows us to coordinate your treatment series and discuss the experience, aftercare and expectations before your first scalp session.

The Nude Secretome Scalp Protocol

At Nude, your personalized Secretome is incorporated into a protocol featuring Exceed® Medical Microneedling and TargetCool® precision cooling.

Medical microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the scalp. TargetCool® adds precision cooling to the treatment experience. Your provider determines the appropriate settings and approach based on your scalp and treatment plan.

The details deserve attention: the areas being treated, your comfort during the appointment, and the care your scalp will need afterward.

Hair collection and scalp treatment are separate experiences. Although collection typically requires little interruption to your day, microneedling may involve temporary redness, tenderness and specific aftercare instructions.

Exceed® is FDA-cleared for facial wrinkles and facial acne scars. Its use on the scalp is at your provider’s discretion; that clearance does not establish FDA approval for hair restoration or for the combined Secretome protocol.

The Nude Regenerative Ritual™ brings cell banking and your initial treatment series together in one package.

It includes:

• Collection of approximately 50 hair follicles.
