TWO WEEKS+ BEFORE TREATMENT
-
No Other Treatments: Do not schedule chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments within 30 days of your Skin Rejuvenation treatment.
-
Avoid Sun Exposure:
-
Protect your skin from the sun by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily.
-
Avoid tanning beds, sunbathing, or any artificial tanning products.
-
ONE WEEK BEFORE TREATMENT
1. Pause Retinoids + Active Skincare:
Unless your Nude Medical provider gives you different instructions, discontinue potentially irritating active skincare in the treatment area approximately one week before treatment, including:
-
Retin-A® / tretinoin
-
Retinol and other retinoids
-
AHAs and BHAs
-
Exfoliating acids
-
Strong exfoliants or scrubs
-
Other prescription or active skincare as directed
2. Avoid Irritating or New Skincare Products
Avoid introducing new skincare products immediately before your treatment. Discontinue products that cause dryness, irritation, peeling, or sensitivity.
Your goal is to arrive for treatment with the skin barrier calm, healthy, and intact.
3. Blood-Thinning Medications + Supplements
Refrain from using blood-thinning agents when medically appropriate and only if approved by your healthcare provider.
-
This may include aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, garlic supplements, and other medications or supplements that may increase bleeding or bruising.
Do not stop prescription anticoagulants or other medically necessary medications without first discussing it with the healthcare provider who prescribed them.
4. Take Prescribed Pre-Treatment Medications as Directed
Depending on your medical history and treatment plan, your Nude Medical provider may prescribe an antiviral or other prophylactic medication before your treatment.
Take all prescribed medications exactly as directed. UltraClear® guidance notes that antiviral and antimicrobial prophylaxis may be considered based on patient history, risk factors, and provider judgment.
TWO DAYS BEFORE TREATMENT
-
No Hair Removal:
-
Avoid waxing, threading, or the use of depilatory creams on the treatment area.
-
-
Shave if Directed:
-
If instructed by your provider, gently shave the treatment area 24-48 hours before your appointment.
-
-
Please contact Nude Medical immediately if you develop any redness, rash, itching, burning, peeling, excessive dryness, open skin, cuts, abrasions, acne flare, cold sore, blistering, infection, or other new irritation in or near the treatment area before your appointment. Even mild irritation can affect how your skin responds to treatment and may require your provider to modify or reschedule your procedure for safety and optimal healing.
IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT
Redness, warmth, swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation are expected after treatment and may persist for several hours.
-
Cool the skin gently. If needed, soak clean gauze in sterile saline or sterile water and place it over the treated area for approximately 5–10 minutes.
-
Keep the skin hydrated. Apply only the post-procedure ointment or moisturizer recommended by your Nude provider.
-
Do not apply ice directly to the skin. Avoid ice packs, frozen vegetables, ice baths, or other direct icing for the first 72 hours. If additional cooling is needed, use a clean, cool, moist cloth that covers the entire treatment area evenly.
-
Do not apply sunscreen on Day 1 unless specifically instructed otherwise by your provider. Avoid direct sun exposure and wear a wide-brimmed hat if you must be outdoors.
-
Do not touch, rub, pick, scratch, or exfoliate the treated skin.
-
Use only the skincare products provided or specifically approved by your Nude provider.

FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS+ AFTER TREATMENT
DAY 1:
Your skin may continue to feel warm, tight, swollen, or sensitive as the initial healing process begins.
-
Before reapplying your recommended ointment or moisturizer, gently remove the previous application using a cool, moist, clean cloth.
-
Continue applying your recommended post-procedure moisturizer or ointment as often as directed for comfort and hydration.
-
Sleep in a slightly elevated or modified upright position if needed to help minimize swelling.
-
Use a fresh, clean pillowcase and clean linens.
-
Wash your hands thoroughly before touching the treated area.
-
Avoid alcohol and spicy or very hot foods until Day 2.
-
Start your first 5-minute vinegar soak three to five times throughout the day , mix 1 teaspoon of white distilled vinegar with 16 ounces of distilled water. Remove ointment before the soak and gently reapply it afterward.
-
A hypochlorous acid solution may also be incorporated into your recovery routine if recommended by your provider.
DAYS 2–7:
As the skin progresses through recovery, it may feel dry, tight, rough, or begin to slough or flake. Allow this process to happen naturally.
-
Begin cleansing with a gentle facial cleanser using your fingertips only. Do not scrub, exfoliate, or use cleansing devices.
-
Days 2-5 continue 5-minute vinegar soaks three to five times a day, mix 1 teaspoon of white distilled vinegar with 16 ounces of distilled water. Remove ointment before the soak and gently reapply it afterward.
-
On Day 3, 4 and 5 apply your CO2Lift Pro Mask®. Here are instructions on how to prepare and apply the mask.
-
Continue your recommended moisturizer or ointment as directed.
-
Do not pick, peel, rub, or manually remove flaking skin.
-
Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, prescription skincare, vitamin C, or other active ingredients until your provider clears you to resume them.
-
Once the skin has fully re-epithelialized, a mineral-based SPF may be introduced as directed by your Nude provider.
-
Continue avoiding direct sun exposure. Wear a wide-brimmed hat or protective clothing whenever outdoors.
-
Makeup may generally be considered around Day 2–3 if your skin is comfortable. Use freshly cleaned or new brushes and products to minimize the risk of introducing bacteria.
-
Avoid unnecessary contact with pets, unclean surfaces, used towels, or anything else that may introduce bacteria to the healing skin.
ACTIVITY + HEAT RESTRICTIONS:
Protecting the newly treated skin from heat, sweat, bacteria, and environmental exposure is an important part of optimal recovery.
-
No strenuous exercise or excessive sweating for at least 5–7 days.
-
Avoid gyms and fitness facilities for a minimum of 2 weeks.
-
No swimming pools, hot tubs, Jacuzzis, or saunas for a minimum of 2 weeks.
-
No hot showers, steam rooms, or direct heat to the treated area for at least 2 weeks.
-
During the early healing period, avoid direct sun, excessive wind, extreme cold, ocean water, and other unnecessary environmental exposure.
-
Avoid direct contact with pets or any unclean surfaces during the healing period.
SKINCARE + ADDITIONAL TREATMENTS:
Your skin barrier needs time to fully recover before stronger skincare or additional aesthetic treatments are introduced.
Do not restart retinoids, prescription skincare, exfoliating acids, or other active products until your Nude provider has evaluated your recovery and cleared you to do so. Depending on the depth and intensity of your treatment, this may occur anywhere from approximately 5–14 days.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Some redness, swelling, sensitivity, dryness, and skin sloughing are part of the expected healing response. Please contact Nude Medical promptly if you notice:
-
Redness, warmth, swelling, or pain that is increasing rather than improving
-
Pus, unusual drainage, or fever
-
Unexpected blistering
-
Sudden localized pain, burning, or blistering that could indicate HSV reactivation
-
Any reaction or change in your skin that concerns you
THE TRANSFORMATION CONTINUES: WEEKS 2–4: EARLY REFINEMENT:
Once the visible recovery period is complete, the deeper transformation is only beginning.
Skin texture, tone, smoothness, and overall quality may continue to improve as the regenerative response progresses.
Continue:
-
Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen
-
Gentle, supportive skincare
-
Consistent hydration
Your personalized Nude skincare regimen once cleared to resume
MONTHS 1–3: COLLAGEN REMODELING:
Laser-Coring™ is designed to work beyond the surface.
As collagen remodeling develops, patients may begin noticing progressive improvement in:
-
Skin firmness
-
Wrinkles
-
Texture
-
Acne scars
-
Skin laxity
-
Overall skin quality
Unlike a treatment designed simply to create an immediate glow, The Nude Transformation is intended to produce progressive structural refinement.
MONTHS 3–6: CONTINUED TRANSFORMATION:
Improvement can continue for several months following treatment as collagen remodeling evolves.
The complexion may progressively appear smoother, firmer, more supported, and more refined.
This extended remodeling period is one of the reasons the final result should not be judged solely by how the skin looks during the first few weeks after treatment.
OPTIMIZE YOUR RECOVERY
Support your skin from the inside out during the recovery process. These simple steps can help create the best possible environment for healthy healing and optimal results.
Stay Well Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout your recovery to support overall skin health and hydration.
Prioritize Nutrition: Focus on a balanced, nutrient-dense diet with adequate protein, healthy fats, fruits, and vegetables to provide your body with the building blocks it needs during the repair process.
Prioritize Rest + Sleep: Give your body time to recover. Consistent, high-quality sleep supports the natural processes involved in tissue repair and regeneration.
Avoid Smoking + Vaping: Smoking and vaping may impair or delay healing following UltraClear® treatment and should be avoided throughout the recovery period.
Follow Your Personalized Recovery Plan: Use any recommended post-procedure products, medications, masks, or supportive treatments exactly as directed by your Nude Medical provider. Your recovery plan is personalized to your treatment depth, skin, and individual healing response.
